Apprentice Shipping Clerk, Germany

Place: Rostock, Germany

Start: next possible start date

Duration: 3 years


Your training includes varied work in different departments.

You will be primarily employed in the agency department and will learn to organize the calls of seagoing vessels in the ports of Rostock and Lubmin, among others. You will also go through the chartering and operations departments at our headquarter in Buxtehude, Lower Saxony,  as well as various other departments in the areas of transport and ship handling, so that your training is holistic and comprehensive. You will learn how to deal with international customers as well as the documentation of shipping documents and customs matters.


In addition to a high school diploma (Abitur) or a good secondary school diploma (Realschule) , the requirements for your training includes good English skills and a certain level of contact and communication skills as well as reliability, commitment, flexibility, resilience and motivation. If you are also familiar with common IT systems, are problem-solving oriented and have a certain level of organizational skills, you should definitely introduce yourself to us.
